Don’t Confuse Your Players By Showing Irrelevant Content On Your Gaming Portal!

NordicBet released their new website a while back and overall I think it is a big improvement compared to the previous version.

One thing that confused me last time I visited NordicBet was the button you see in image 1. Even though I am logged in there is a button saying ”Create Account”. Why is that? Can I create another/different account from the one I logged in with?

I of course clicked on the button and I got an error message, see image 2, when I did.

From the error message, ”Logged in users cannot create new accounts.” it seems that NordicBet knows that this can happen.

There is no difference between which flash movie shown on the start page when you are logged in compared to when you are not.

Showing the ”Create Account” button only brings confusion to the logged in players and doesn’t help the player to start playing faster.

This is just an example where NordicBet should present relevant content based on if you are logged in or not, a very basic version of personalisation.
