Redesign In 20 Minutes (13) – Unibet’s Sports Selection

Unibet was awarded European Sports Betting Operator of the Year at the EGR Awards this year.

This week’s redesign is about two minor changes making the sportsbook even better for the players.

Sports selection today

Unibet gives the player the option to find the sports to place bets on in a number of different ways, search, quick links and by using the navigation structure.

My first change I would do is to remove the ”Clear basket” and the ”Show” link.

Today a player has to do a selection in the left hand navigation structure and then click on ”Show” for the bets to be shown. The ”Clear” is to remove all the selection I’ve done.

It is not really understandable what the ”Clear” link does since it’s also clickable when you haven’t selected any sports. My suggestion is that when you make a selction in the left hand navigation structure the the bets should be shown right away. That way you wouldn’t need the ”Clear” or ”Show” links and a player would see the bets faster and in a more intuitive way.

My second change is about how the navigation tree acts.

Today when a player selects all options under an item in the navigation tree then the top node won’t be selected. It should be selected so that the player can deselect all items with just one click.
